Status Alive

Kusanagi Godou is the main protagonist of the Campione! series and is the seventh Campione. He achieved this status through killing the Persian god of victory, Verethragna.

Godou was asked by his grandfather to return a stone tablet to Lucretia Zola, a friend of his grandfather's living in Sardinia, Italy. Through a series of events, he met Erica Blandelli and slew Verethragna, gaining the god's Divine Right.

Godou has often been the target of interest as the seventh Campione and for the power and flexibility of his Divine Right. Possessing ten different powers, he can adapt to many situations.

While performing great feats, Godou has also gained a small group of girls that follow him. Being his self-proclaimed "wives," they often argue over him. However, it is Erica Blandelli that Godou favors most.

AppearanceEdit

Godou is a young 16-year-old man with dark navy blue hair and brown eyes. He has an average build, and slightly above-average height.

He typically wears a white jacket over a dark blue sweater and jeans, but can also be seen wearing his school's uniform.

PersonalityEdit

Godou is unwavering in his determination. Throwing himself in the face of danger to save others comes natural for him, and was shown when he and Erica assaulted Lord Voban's home to save Yuri Mariya.

Godou often gets flustered when dealing with his female friends, and often has issues dealing with Erica's seemingly blatant disregard for modesty in front of him.

HistoryEdit

Godou Kusanagi is a 16-year-old boy who played in the senior league as catcher and fourth hitter - that is, the cleanup - when he was in Junior High. However, an injury put an end to baseball, though that was not the end for him. During the spring break of his third and last year in Junior High, he got involved with the world of gods and heroes while preforming a task for his grandfather. This task took him to Italy, where he was confronted by Erica Blandelli, and ended up slaying one of the Heretic Gods; Verethragna. Thus, he became the seventh and the youngest Campione. Now that he is a Campione - a godslayer - Godou must defeat the troublemaking gods.

Powers & AbilitiesEdit

After slaying the Heretic God Verethragna, Godou gained his Divine Right; ten different avatars with their own respective powers.

Verethragna Divine Rights

Wind: Teleporting to someone he knows is in danger. Activated by that someone being outside in a wide enough space and calling his name.

Bull: Superhuman strength. Requires an opponent of superhuman strength or a target requiring said strenght ( i.e. something weighing a couple tons) before being usable.

White Stallion: Summons flames from sky. Seems to require the opponent to be a great sinner/act in such a way (in Godou's mind at least).

Camel: Greatly enhances leg strength, endurance, and healing capabilities. Godou needs to receive a significant amount of damage to use this authority.

Boar: Summons a Boar Divine Beast. Needs a big target to use on and won't back down until it destroys said target - hence Godou being the most destructive amongst the Campiones.

Youth: Grants protection to people. Usable only when someone greatly needs his aid.

Raptor: Accelerates speed as well as reduces weight of user and anything said user happens to be carrying. Like with the Bull, to use the Raptor, Godou must face an opponent or attack of superhuman speed. Side effects include restriction of movement as well as pain amassing in the heart after use.

Ram: Enhances vitality and recovery. Must be used right before dying in order to resurrect.

Goat: Controls lightning and can draw power and life force from people around him. Requires a common feeling, like wanting to get back at Sun Wukong for being turned into monkeys or being used even in death by Voban.

Warrior: Turning his knowledge into a sword that is able to cut through his opponent's divinity/authority. Also seems to grant greater reflexes and skill at fighting the designated target.
